HFL0002: RENDANG (FROZEN)

Authentic Indonesian Rendang made using Halal certified Japanese Beef. 

The beef is slowly simmered in a blend of aromatic herbs & spices and coconut milk for hours until the sauce has thickened and darken in color, resulting in very deep slightly sweet flavorful taste and super tender beef, teeth are optional.

Serve over a plate of piping hot rice and enjoy!

How to prepare:

• Using Microwave 
  • There is no need to defrost. Transfer the frozen rendang into a microwaveable bowl/container, cover with plastic wrap, and heat on 500W for 3-4 minutes.
• Stovetop Method
  • Thaw the rendang until it is no longer frozen (in the fridge or immediately by running it under tap water, do not thaw in room temperature to avoid food safety risk). Heat a pan over low medium heat and add the thawed rendang. Let it gently simmer for approximately 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally for even heating.
  • Adding a small amount of water or liquid (broth/stock/coconut water) is also great!
